SCOPE is operated by Jissal Gigi, trading as SCOPE ("we"). This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices.
1. Information we collect
- Account: email address, name, optional company name, and your password stored only as a secure one-way hash.
- Use of the service: locations and geofences you scan, the results and reports produced, your messages to the AI assistant (so it can follow the conversation), and usage counts used to apply plan limits.
- Payments: SCOPE payment reference, plan, amount, and the transaction ID, payer name and note you submit so we can match your payment. The payment service you use (for example PayPal or your bank) also shows us the sender name and amount, as for any transfer. We never ask for or store card numbers, passwords or banking logins.
- Security logs: limited technical data such as IP address and timestamps of sign-in attempts, used to prevent abuse.
2. How we use it
Only to provide and secure SCOPE: running your scans, producing reports, applying plan limits, processing payments, preventing fraud and abuse, answering support requests, and meeting legal obligations. We do not sell personal data and do not use it for advertising.
3. Service providers
- Payment services you choose (for example PayPal, your bank, or Razorpay where offered) — their privacy policies apply to the payment data you give them.
- OpenStreetMap geocoding (Nominatim, Photon) — place names you type are sent to find coordinates.
- Public satellite catalogues (AWS Earth Search, Microsoft Planetary Computer) — we request imagery for the areas you scan; no account information is sent.
- Email delivery — to send verification codes and service messages.
- Hosting — SCOPE's servers store the data described above.
The AI assistant runs on SCOPE's own server; your messages are not sent to third-party AI services.
4. Storage, security and retention
Data is stored on SCOPE's servers with access restricted to the operator. Connections are encrypted (HTTPS), passwords are hashed, sessions use signed tokens, and sign-in attempts are rate-limited. We keep account data while your account is active and delete it within 30 days of a deletion request, except records we must keep by law (for example payment and tax records, typically kept for 8 years in India).
5. Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct, export or delete your data by emailing [email protected] from your account email. Signed-in users can also download their SCOPE account data from the app. We respond within 30 days.
6. Browser storage
SCOPE stores your sign-in session and interface preferences in your browser's local storage so you stay signed in. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
7. Children
SCOPE is not intended for children under 18.
